PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The 26-story, 700-room Hyatt Regency of Salt Lake is designed to comfortably accommodate large-scale events. The hotel offers immense amenity spaces, including the largest hotel ballroom in the area and a substantial rooftop podium terrace.
VRE insulating glass provides the privacy and performance needed in a hotel of this caliber. The fabrication and flatness of the glass provide stunning reflections of the Wasatch Mountains to the east and the Great Salt Lake to the west. This slight reflection in the glass also aids in blending the spandrel and vision areas. Each element of the design was chosen to also "complement the thriving cultural and culinary hub just outside its doors" Hyatt Newsroom site.
To meet the predetermined grand opening date, the project required extreme efficiency at every stage. A dream in the works for nearly a decade, the hotel opened on time in October of 2022. Predicted to dramatically increase direct visitor spending, encourage additional investments in hospitality and local businesses, and serve as a gateway to year-round adventures in Salt Lake City, the Hyatt Regency will be an icon of the area for many years to come.
